Tai Chi

My main interest when I was younger was to become a great martial artist. Over the years, I have been humbled by many great masters who have become my teachers. My main styles of interest are Chu Fen Do, the Iron Wing, and Tai Chi. Chu Fen Do’s creator is coach Tony Blauer and it is a hard-core, no nonsense street fighting style where anything goes.

Second up is the Iron Wing created by the now late Sifu Richard Nardelli, a mix of southern Praying Mantis and Wing Chun. Sifu Richard was literally a magical being who received most of his insights to the martial arts through his dreaming and visions.

Third is Tai Chi. People always ask me when they see me perform my Tai Chi form, “Is that Yang or Chen style?”. The answer is both. The reason being that I had two Tai Chi Masters. The first is Sergio Arione, Master of the Yang style who holds the last thirty gold medals in Tai Chi fighting. The other is Wen Chang, a monk who has Mastered the Chen style of Tai Chi and who has given me the mission of blending the two styles together making them one. I have been teaching these arts now for many years and have seen many people heal themselves through its practice. Some of the benefits that I have personally witnessed as a teacher have been:

• Better posture
• Shoulder and back problems healed
• Stress issues resolve
• Insomnia cured
• Digestion improved
• Released creative potential
• Overall physical strength and vitality
• Stronger immune system
• Emotional stability

What is great about these martial arts is that it does not matter how old you are, or what kind of shape you are in, anyone can practice them and reap their benefits.
